The Beginning
Why this framework?
I wanted to understand what happens behind a web application instead of only learning how to use an existing platform.
Building my own PHP MVC framework gave me the opportunity to work directly with routing, controllers, models, views, database access, authentication and application security.
PHP's close relationship with HTML made it a practical language for learning how all of these pieces work together. Learn More
Building the framework changed my understanding of web development from individual PHP pages into an application architecture.
The project has given me hands-on experience with MVC routing, reusable controllers and views, MySQL database access, authentication, CSRF protection, account approval, password resets, contact forms and meeting scheduling.
Just as importantly, each feature taught me how information moves through an application from the browser, through the controller and model, and back into the view.

The framework is intended to continue evolving rather than remain a finished classroom project.
Future development can include additional business services, improved administrative tools, expanded user features and continued refinement of the framework itself.
Bellamies FSD Services gives me a working environment where I can continue developing those ideas while demonstrating the PHP and application-development skills behind them.
